The resort of Flaine is purpose built, lying in a valley to
the west of Chamonix and bordering the Grand Massif ski area with over 250km of skiable piste. It is
blessed with an excellent snow record and most of the accommodation is ski in and ski out. It has
one of the longest and most popular snowboarding parks in Europe.
The traffic free resort is divided
into three levels - Flaine Forum, Flaine Front de Neige and Flaine Foret. Flaine Forum is the most
lively and there is a good selection of restaurants to suit everyone.
