Chalet Castor
SITUATION - Edge of piste, ski in /ski out Chalet Castor has been in our
catered chalet programme for two winter ski seasons, and it proved to be
very popular.
Castor is just three years old, situated right beside chalet Renard, just
a short stroll from the centre of the attractive village of Les Coches.
Like its neighbour, it has been built in the traditional Savoyard style,
with lots of exposed beams and generous use of wood and stone, which has
made it a most attractive building.
There are wonderful views towards Mont Blanc from the rear of the chalet
and it is in a perfect location, as you can ski or board from and to the
door (snow conditions permitting).
The chalet is spacious, light and airy. There are 5 bedrooms all with
en-suite bathrooms, a large lounge / dining room with a lovely, open fire
in the corner. There are sliding doors onto a large south facing terrace.
Note; Chalet Castor is located right next door to
Chalet Renard so
together they could be used for a group of 20 - 21.

bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, etc., plus bread, jam and
honey.
Afternoon tea is prepared and left out for you to help yourself after
your skiing or snowboarding, and consists of tea, coffee, hot chocolate,
bread, jams, etc., plus homemade cake or biscuits or scones.
Dinner, normally served around eight o'clock, is a superb three course
meal plus cheese accompanied by good quality red and white wine with
coffee and tea to finish.
Skiing from the Chalet
In the morning, you can ski or board from the door (snow conditions
permitting) onto the adjacent blue run and down to the Plan Bois
chairlift or down to the express chairlift from Montchavin. A short ski
from here will take you to the Vanoise Express cable car linking La
Plagne with Les Arcs. Alternatively two more short chairlifts take you to
the Belle Plagne bowl and the rest of the La Plagne skiing.
At the end of the day ski back to the chalet door via a blue or red run
through the trees.
