Chalet Anniek
Chalet Anniek sleeps up to 15 persons in 3 double rooms, 1 triple
room and 3 twin rooms - all with full en-suite facilities and some rooms
with balconies. The chalet also has a brand new sauna and spa-bath
jacuzzi with powerful bubbles and jets to sooth away those apres-ski
aches and pains.
The chalet was completed in the Autumn of 2002 and has plenty of room
with nearly 200m2 of living space. The lounge, with a beautiful log fire
and stone fireplace has doors leading to the large balcony and terrace
area with spectacular views over the Tarentaise Valley towards Mont
Blanc. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating for 16 persons
with HiFi system, Satellite TV and video as in our other chalets - a
selection of films, music and games is provided but you are welcome also
to bring your own.
The chalet has an electric boot warmer in the ski room and ski lockers
where you are able to leave your skis safely and enjoy the luxury of warm
boots the next morning. Towels and linen are supplied and each room is
comfortably furnished with ample storage space, built in wardrobes,
electricity points and heating.
The chalet is located in the centre of the village of Montalbert -
approximately 150m from the pistes, lift system and ski school. The
village is built around a traditional French hamlet with a quaint high
street of shops and boutiques, a supermarket, 11 restaurants and bars.
The village also has a small discotheque.
Non-ski activities available in the area include huski dog sleds,
snow-shoe walking, the La Plagne bobsleigh experience and a weekly
programme of events held in the village including games evenings,
aerobics sessions and events for the kids. Night-time skiing available
each week on a lit nursery piste .... organised by the local ski school.
The Food
We believe that the standard of the food is too important for the chalet
staff to decide so we don’t give our staff a budget and leave it up to
them to cut corners! We can cater for all types of special dietary
requirements – including vegetarian, gluten free and child menus with
many products imported from England to suit the tastes of the British
kids. We serve bottled wine which is of a good standard – and in
unlimited supply throughout the meal.
Apart from the traditional porridge, cereals and continental breakfast
including fresh baked warm croissants, we also include a full cooked
English breakfast with bacon, sausages and baked beans to keep the real
traditional taste …. a great way to start the day.
And when you return from skiing, our afternoon tea will satisfy those
hunger pangs with French bread and home-made cake in plentiful supply!
