Chalet Periades
Chalet Periades is located on the sunny side of St Gervais with
breath-taking views of the Mont d'Arbois, the Aravis Chain and the Avre
Valley
We sit in a quiet cul-de-sac which benefits from both a private location
and superb proximity to the slopes and shops, all amenities are within
walking distance. We are roughly 150m from the Mont Blanc Tramway, and
200m from the pretty town center, with the ski lifts on the other side of
town, easily reached in a couple of minutes in our private mini-bus
service, or on the local bus service, which stops just next to the
chalet.
The Chamonix slopes are also a mere 20 minutes away in our mini-bus (less
time than you'll often wait for a bus in Chamonix!), and Les Contamines
is just 10-15 minutes away, so you really have the whole area at your
fingertips.
Jamie, your host and chef, is a qualified ski instructor and he will show
you around the mountain
ACCOMMODATION
Our chalet-apartment, sleeping four guests in absolute comfort, is
located on the second floor of the much sought-after Les Periades
development, a traditionally styled 3 storey building, built to the
highest standards, all new for 08/09.
Our layout is designed to keep everything open and light, with an open
plan living-room and kitchen connected to two balconies facing out over
the resort and towards Mont Blanc.
We have full under-floor heating throughout the chalet, a main bathroom
with a full size bath and shower, as well as a separate toilet. Our
comfortable sofa will be waiting for you with the cake every afternoon,
and the large private ski locker on the ground floor ensures a minimum of
time carrying equipment around.
Both Both elegantly decorated bedrooms - prepared as either doubles or
twins - come with plenty of storage space, bedside tables and lights, and
full length mirrors. Of course all linen and towels are provided.
We have a full-sized bath perfect to soak your muscles in after a full
day on the piste, and the chalet is always kept nice and warm.
An honesty bar operates in the chalet, with plenty of chilled beers and
mixers to accompany the extensive collection of spirits and wines. With
our HDTV, DVD player, stereo system and Wii console, you will never lack
entertainment, and wireless internet is available free of charge. We also
have a selection of magazines, books and board games for you to help
yourself to, English newspapers are available on request.
THE FOOD
There are a few key components that are paramount to the perfect ski
holiday, and we have long since realised that superb food is one of them.
With a cosy chalet, fabulous skiing and great company- the food makes it
that bit more special.
Having learnt his trade with many excellent chefs throughout England,
France, Switzerland, Portugal and Canada, Jamie, your host and chef is
proud to offer top quality meals of your choice, cooked right in front of
you.
Jamie sets the tone on your arrival, with a glass of ice-cold bubbly and
a freshly baked cake. From there it's the little things that make all the
difference, a cup of tea in bed in the morning, fresh local ingredients,
and an unheard-of level of flexibility in the menu.
