The Chalet
The Hotel Gelinotte is a three star chalet hotel built in the traditional Savoyarde style typical to this region of the alps. The centre of resort is just a few mintutes walk away so you can easily get to the lively centre of Val D'Isere, or alternatively why not relax in the hotel's own comfortable bar.
Inside, the Gelinotte continues the theme of the traditional savoyarde style. There is a wonderful split level dining room with spectacular night time views accross the village of Val D'Isere, further enhanced by a warm and inviting log fire.
There are several seperate seating areas so if you want some "you time" you can escape from the bar and night time activities, or equally if you want to reflect on the days skiing with other guests there is a cosy bar and seperate TV room.
If you've come back with aches and pains from a days envigorating skiing why not spend half an hour or so in the Hotels Sauna (free of charge) and you'll quickly feel refreshed and ready to go for the evening.
As a new feature in our Hotels for 2009/10 you will be able to order breakfast in bed from a full room service menu.
The Gelinotte is run as a hotel, your holiday includes the benefits of the high levels of Ski Power catering. Breakfast, Afternoon cake and Ski Powers 5 course dinner are part of your package on 6 days each week. A choice of wines is available with your meal, but all drinks at the hotel are charged for. There is very limited off road parking next to the hotel for those with their own cars, although this can be difficult to access when there is a lot of snow

All of our menus are chosen to provide a nutricous and well balanced diet. Breakfast is a mixture of hot and cold with fresh bread delivered daily, cereals, Eggs, bacon or sausages, yoghurts, accompanied by fresh Tea, Coffee and Fruit Juices.
Upon return in the afternoon you will find afternoon tea laid out by your chalet hosts, consisting of freshly baked cakes or biscuits, bread and preserves.
Later you will enjoy pre dinner canapes, served in the lounge followed by a full five course dinner in the dinning room accompanied by unlimited wine. Dinner is followed by Fresh coffee and chocolates, and a platter of cheese and one bottle of Port is left for you to enjoy each evening.
We are able to cater for all dietary needs and special occasion’s, such as birthdays, so please inform us when making your booking.

Ski Hosting
Ski Power are delighted to offer ski hosting free of charge to all of our clients. We can organise experienced skiers and boarders, who know the resort well and who offer a variety of different style days, to host you.
