The Chalet
Chalet Santel has a fantastic location directly opposite the lift and ski back to the door. This cosy chalet sleeps 8-10 in the picturesque farming village of Montchavin at the heart of the Paradiski area which rises to 3,250m with 2 glaciers and 425km of piste to cater for beginners to advanced skiers. Built in the local Savoyard style the chalet has lots of atmosphere with an open fire, wooden beams, mezzanine levels (low ceilings but great fun for kids) and a sunny terrace with stunning views. We’re next door to the ski shop (no long walks with equipment), ski school and a quiet apres ski bar - so a great location all in all. To make your stay as relaxing as possible we have a comfortable seating area around the log fire, Honesty bar, tea & coffee making facilities, flatscreen TV and DVD player, i-pod dock, board games and a DVD and book library.
The Bedrooms - sleeping up to
10
Great for families the chalet sleeps 8-10 in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. BUNK ROOM This family room sleeps 4 in a double bed and built in bunks. It is next door to the shower room and leads out onto a balcony. SPLIT LEVEL ROOM This family room also sleeps 4 in a double on the ground floor and twin beds on the mezzanine above, accessed by a wooden staircase fitted with a stairgate. Next door to the bathroom this bedroom also leads onto a balcony. MEZZANINE ROOM This closed mezzanine is accessed from the living room and sleeps 2 in twin beds. There is a washbasin and very small bath in the corner (en-suite would be pushing it!) A cosy space but headroom is limited. There are two separate WCs.
The Food
We like to look after people and want you to get the most out of your holiday so each day we start with a good breakfast: porridge, eggs, cereals, jams, fresh bread from the bakery, toast, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee and juice. After a day on the mountain we’ll have freshly baked afternoon tea ready, light the fire and get the vin chaud started. If you have children we can do an earlier tea time with a child friendly menu, so you can get them ready for bed before you sit down to eat. We love to cook and run the chalet ourselves serving a three course dinner on 6 nights of the week. The menu is based on the best of French, Italian and British cuisine and we serve food we like to eat: fresh, tasty and filling meals with ingredients sourced, whenever possible, from local suppliers. We also have a generous supply of good red and white house wines sourced from a local wine 'cave' where we can also arrange tasting sessions. We cater for most dietary requirements and allergies, please let us know any special requirements at the time of booking.
Extras
We have a ski pass delivery service and we can reserve ski lessons on your behalf. We offer a lunch pack service at a small extra charge, please ask at the time of booking GUEST COMMENTS “Where to start?!
