Le Seignus is an unspoilt village located in the Val d'Allos in the Alpes de Haute Provence - just 90 miles north of St Tropez. The area enjoys sunshine all year round and, with the pistes being between 1500m and 2600m, it has an excellent snow record along with plenty of snow cannons to keep the slopes in good condition. Le Seignus has cafes, restaurants, bars and a nightclub.

Included on the whole domain lift pass is the la Foux d'Allos/Pra Loup area - with 40 lifts, 70 pistes and plenty of off-piste skiing. This is the l'Espace Lumière, the largest ski area in the Southern French Alps - larger than the nearby resorts of Isola 2000 and  Risoul - and the sixth largest ski area in France. L'Espace Lumière has over 230km of pistes comparable with the domains of Chamonix, Kitzbuhel and les Deux Alpes.

L'Espace Lumière's combination of more pistes and fewer visitors means that the slopes are far less crowded than at other European resorts. Outside the French school holidays, lift queues are almost unheard of and you will often be able to enjoy skiing on empty pistes.

The ski area at le Seignus is spread over two mountains and is on slopes that catch the morning and afternoon sun in turn. The village is at 1500m with the highest lift at 2400m and there are a mixture of open pistes above the tree-line, runs that pass through the forest and loads of off-piste skiing. There are also plenty of cross-country skiing trails and regular accompanied walks on snow shoes.
