APARTMENTS in Megeve with PV Holidays
An old medieval town at the western end of the Grand Massif, Megeve has a wonderful ambience - it's a lively little place day and night - and is still a good second to Courchevel when it comes to chic.
Because of its low altitude (1050m) Megeve had a bit of a downturn in the 80's with the low snowfalls, but is now experiencing a rapid revival, partly because it is a lovely place to stay, and partly because the snow is back again.
The skiing is first class and very flattering for both beginners and intermediates. There is some decent off piste, but advanced skiers looking for more challenging terrain would take a bus or taxi to les Contamines and Chamonix.
Megeve is an excellent cross country destination with over 70 km of trails.
